Good news regarding injuries. Aaron Rodgers and AJ Hawk are both going to play today. I think both are huge for the game. First having Aaron Rodgers at least gives a shot through the air. His arm strength might not be 100% but I would still take him over Matt Flynn. The Falcons will now at least have to respect the pass and that should give the running game a chance for success. Second AJ Hawk’s return is huge since we need all the help we can get against the running game since we haven’t stopped anyone yet and the Falcons are one of the best running teams in the league.
There is some bad news though even though it isn’t surprising. Charlie Peprah will be getting his first start today since Bigby and Rouse are both inactive for the game. While I don’t think Charlie Peprah is a bad safety I don’t think he is anything more than an average safety. Thankfully the Falcons aren’t the best passing team at this point in the season. Bigby better get back soon since the Packers need him especially with all our latest injuries on defense.
For those of you are interested here are the Packers inactives for today’s game:
- Brian Brohm
- Atari Bigby
- Kregg Lumpkin
- Al Harris
- Korey Hall
- Aaron Rouse
- Jason Hunter
- Breno Giacomini

Cowboys vs Packers Game Update
Filed under Game UpdatesSep 21I have some last minute news coming out of Green Bay for tonight’s game. It appears like there is some good and bad news as far as injuries are concerned. Scott Wells is active for the game so they are either going to start him or at least have him ready to be a backup this week. On the negative side though Atari Bigby, Korey Hall, and Ruvell Martin will be missing the game. I think Atari Bigby will be a big loss unless Aaron Rouse can step up this week. I think the safety position will be important this week since the Packers will need help over the top covering Dallas’ receivers. Hopefully Aaron Rouse is able to fill Atari Bigby’s shoes this week. I don’t think Korey Hall’s and Ruvell Martin’s injury are as important though. While it would be nice having all our weapons on offense for this game I think both can be replaced this week. John Kuhn will be able to step in for Korey Hall and do a solid job. With Ruvell Martin out we will just have one less receiving threat.
Check back at halftime since I will hopefully have some thoughts up on the first half of the game.

Packers vs Lions Game Updates
Filed under Game UpdatesSep 14It is around 30 minutes until the gameand I have some updates for you. Good news for the Packers is that Charles Woodson and Ryan Grant are both playing. They might not play as much as usual but neither are on the inactive list so it appears that they will play at least some. The Packers will be missing Scott Wells, Josh Sitton, and Ruvell Martin. Ruvell Martin is the only surprise since he was only questionable for this week. I guess his broken finger was too bad to go today. While it would have been nice to have him back it shouldn’t really concern anyone since we did fine with Jones out last week. Jones will play this week so we should be fine.
As far as the Lions are concerned their starting safety, Daniel Bullocks, won’t be playing and will be replaced by Gerald Alexander. Any injury to the Lions secondary should improve the Packers passing game. The Lions pass defense was pretty weak before but it should even be weaker missing a starter.
If there are any more updates before gametime I will be sure to add to this post.
