The Packers are 2-0 and are on a roll. The Packers have their work cut out for them this week though. The Cowboys are probably the Packers toughest opponent this season. Both teams are the cream of the crop in the NFC. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are once again the best and second best teams in the NFC. While the Packers have one their first two games they need to make some adjustments if they want to even think about beating the Cowboys.

    1) The Packers need to limit the penalties. The penalties have been out of control the first two weeks. While they haven’t cost us a game yet, we can’t afford to make the same penalties this week. The Cowboys are a much better team than the Vikings and Lions and I think we are going to have to be on the top of our game if we have any hope to win this week’s game.

    2) The Packers running game needs to be more consistent. While the Packers have had som nice long runs, the Packers need to improve their consistency since the Packers need to hold the ball as long as they can on offense in order to keep the dangerous Dallas offense off the field. Ryan Grant will hopefully finally get on track and be totally healed for the game.

    3) The Packers need to put pressure on the QB. If we want to stop the Dallas’ offense we need to pressure Tony Romo. If we don’t pressure Tony Romo he will tear our defense apart and we will have little chance of beating the Cowboys.

    4) The Packers can’t play conservatively in the second half even if we are winning big. Playing conservative has almost lost us both games. McCarthy is a pretty conservative coach but he really needs to stop with the conservative playcalling or we will lose at least one game this season due to it.

    5) The Packers need to get out to a quick start. If the Packers let the Cowboys get out to a quick lead we might as well throw in the towel. The Cowboys are one of those teams that don’t let down when they get a lead. The Packers need to get off to a quick lead so they can control the game. If the Packers can control the game they can fustrate Tony Romo and TO and hopefully get both of them off their game.

    Injury Updates

At this point Korey Hall, Atari Bigby, Scott Wells, and Josh Sitton appear to be questionable for Sunday Night’s game. Of all these players I think Atari Bigby and Scott Wells are most important. You could tell in the second half of the game vs the Lions that Aaron Rouse struggled in coverage. The Packers could use Atari Bigby. Scott Wells return would also be nice since it would finally stabilize the interior offensive line. The Packers could use all the help they can get against the Cowboys.
