Since at this point I am a little worried about the Vikings games I have decided to address the keys to the game in a different way. I have decided to explain how the Packers will win and lose to the Vikings. So here is how I think the Packers will win or lose vs the Vikings.

Why the Packers Will Beat the Vikings

    1. The Packers will contain Adrian Peterson. I didn’t say they need to stop him they just need to contain him. Adrian Peterson will get his yards but the Packers need to stop the big plays. If the Packers can contain Adrian Peterson the Packers will force the ball into Jackson’s hands and that isn’t a good thing for the Vikings. Without the support that Peterson gives him Jackson will struggle under center.
    2. The Packers will give Rodgers time in the pocket. With time in the pocket Rodgers should be able to pick apart the Vikings secondary. While the Vikings secondary might think they are good we Packer fans know that it is weak. The Packers receivers will school the Vikings secondary and will rack up that YAC as the Packers wrap up the points.
    3. The Packers will control the time of possession. The Packers will move the ball down the field at a good pace in order to keep the Vikings defense on the field. After the Packers have worn down the Vikings defense the Packers will be able to run the ball all over them running the clock down even further.
    4. The Packers have home field advantage. With the backing of the fans Rodgers will have the confidence to overcome his inexperience. The cheering will also adversely affect the Vikings and will cause plenty of turnovers.

Why the Packers Will Lose to the Vikings

    1. The Packers will let Adrian Peterson run all over them. Ryan Pickett won’t be able to hold the middle of the field and Peterson will get to the outside untouched. With several big runs the Packers defense will be shot which will open up the passing game. After that happens there is no way the Packers can recover.
    2. The Packers pass protection is terrible. The makeshift interior offense line will have trouble blocking the Williams. With no pocket to speak of Aaron Rodgers will have to move to the outside or be sacked. Being on the run all game will lead Aaron Rodgers to make costly mistakes.
    3. Rodgers will make one mistake and the crowd will quickly turn on him. His confidence will be shot and the game will be as good as gone.
